About the Role:


We are seeking a highly skilled Order Selector to join our team in the Warehouse. As an Order Selector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and accurate selection of orders for our customers.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect assigned jack for safety issues and enter proper information into productivity measures.
  • Identify correct pick location and sequence in accordance with the order and pick the correct item and quantity, checking UPCs or item descriptions.
  • Place pick labels on the side of cases, identify Master Case locations, and immediately report miss-located products.
  • Shrink wrap and label cases with correct truck, stop, and other required information, stage pallets in appropriate bays, and listen for first and last call to obtain all out-of-stocks in a timely manner.
  • Keep the area clean and debris-free and inform a foreman, supervisor, or manager of any potential safety threats.
  • Obtain aisle-cleaning assignments, operate pallet jack/pushcart safely and efficiently, and report any violations of company policy.
  • Build stable and well-cubed pallets, park and recharge pallet jack in its appropriate spot at the end of the shift, and perform duties in accordance with HACCP and SQF policies and procedures.


Requirements:

  • Warehouse/Operations experience preferred but not required.
  • Good judgment is required for this position as there may be times when direct supervision may not be immediately available.
  • Understanding of WMS preferred but not required, with knowledge of Safety guidelines, applicable Bakco functions, and RF systems.
  • Ability to select at established minimum rate for the department, astute attention to detail, and understanding of procedures in other areas of the warehouse for a more global understanding of all processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, stand, walk, bend, stoop, twist, and turn frequently, and work in temperatures ranging from -20 degrees below zero to 35 degrees Fahrenheit in Perishable Operations and 37 degrees to 90 degrees Fahrenheit in Grocery Operations.
  • Must be able to work with hands and arms overhead, and to work in or under equipment, with manual dexterity, overall coordination, and good balance to perform job duties.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
