Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Tax Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will possess strong initiative and the ability to complete multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment. This individual must be able to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with other members of the department to achieve goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and review of complex income tax returns, including corporations, S corporations, partnerships, annual business, exempt organization, and individual returns.
  • Assist in quality control review of tax returns.
  • Assist in planning and compliance regarding international tax matters, including waivers and tax returns.
  • Assist in the review and oversight of quarterly tax projections and communication of required estimated tax payments.
  • Assist in the oversight and review of year-end shareholder bonus process.
  • Maintenance and adherence to financial and tax reporting policies and procedures.
  • Assign, track, and manage tasks and projects to Tax Staff.
  • Assist in review and oversight of 1099 reporting.
  • Preparation and review of tax correspondence and facilitation and oversight of tax audits and tax notices.
  • Facilitation of entity creation and dissolution procedures, including attainment of Articles of Incorporation, organizational documents, FEIN applications, and 2553s.
  • Assist team with tax software questions.
  • Assist in review of all annual reports, franchise tax returns, and other state returns.
  • Assist in client invoicing for tax services performed.

Requirements:

  • Experience within a business management firm and/or the entertainment industry, with good transferability of skills.
  • BS in Accounting, Finance, or Economics with a strong academic record.
  • MAcc or Masters in Taxation, preferred.
  • Experience working in a business management firm or providing financial/tax services for HNWI.
  • Experience using QuickBooks and Excel.
  • Active CPA License.
  • Proficiency in tax software and technology.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Tax practice.
