Pelvic Health/Lymphedema Physical Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in the Pelvic Health/Lymphedema department. As a Pelvic Health/Lymphedema Physical Therapist, you will be responsible for reviewing patient charts, performing initial assessments, developing treatment plans, administering physical therapy treatments and modalities, and monitoring progress to increase overall functioning, reduce discomfort, and achieve other medical and therapeutic goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Communicate patient status to referring physicians and other healthcare team members.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with physician referrals, patient needs, and physical therapy assessments.
  • Modify or adjust treatment plans based on patient response and changes in patient status.
  • Supervise physical therapist assistants in the treatment of patients.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient care, including initial assessments, follow-up visits, and discharge summaries.
  • Provide verbal and written instructions to patients and family members as needed.
  • Schedule patients to meet productivity standards while ensuring quality patient care.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited physical therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
  • Active license to practice physical therapy in the state.
  • CPR certification based on AHA standards.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
  • Pelvic health or oncology/lymphedema experience preferred.
  • Orthopedic clinical experience/internships preferred.
