Job Title: Catheterization Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Catheterization Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a Catheterization Technologist, you will play a critical role in assisting doctors during advanced diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures.

Job Summary:

The ideal candidate will have 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting and possess strong technical skills, including the ability to operate and maintain complex medical equipment. You will be responsible for preparing patients and equipment for procedures, scrubbing in during procedures, and assisting physicians as needed.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients and equipment for cardiac lab procedures by preparing site of entry, draping patient, arranging sterilized instruments and catheters, and calibrating and setting up pressure transducers and tubing.
  • Operate and ensure the quality control of all equipment utilized in the cardiac cath lab, including hemodynamic and electrical amplifiers and digital and line fluoroscopic equipment.
  • Scrub in during procedures, assist the physician in maneuvering catheters, and obtain and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data.
  • Monitor the patient's hemodynamic status during procedures in the cardiac cath lab and participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in a Cath Lab setting
  • Strong technical skills, including the ability to operate and maintain complex medical equipment
  • BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) -CI preferred or CCI-RCIS certification, and state specific licensing when required
