Position Summary

A Truck Driver at Tapani Inc. is tasked with the safe and timely transportation of legal loads of materials to designated locations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transport rock, soil, and various materials
  • Efficiently spread, stockpile, and place materials
  • Operate truck and pup vehicles
  • Maintain cleanliness of the truck, both inside and out
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
  • Exhibit calmness, alertness, and courtesy in high-traffic situations
  • Navigate job site hazards and maneuver in confined spaces
  • Drive responsibly and analyze job site conditions

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Class A CDL certification required
  • Minimum of one year of experience in the construction industry
  • Proficient in driving, loading, and unloading materials
  • Strong judgment in material transportation
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs
  • Capable of performing basic math and decision-making tasks
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team

Work Environment

This role primarily involves operating a truck, with working hours typically ranging from 7 AM to 5 PM. Extended hours and occasional Saturdays may be required during peak seasons, along with extensive travel.
