Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Janitorial Specialist to join our team at Flagship Facility Services. As a Janitorial Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our employees and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners as needed.
  • Dust and clean tops of office furniture, cleared desks, and surfaces of tables.
  • Vacuum all carpeting and spot clean soiled areas as needed.
  • Clean glass on lobby doors and sweep and mop floors.
  • Empty waste baskets and replace liners in lunchrooms, break areas, and restrooms.
  • Wipe and clean all table tops and chairs, vending machines, and appliances.
  • Clean and sanitize toilets, basins, and urinals, and spot clean walls, partitions, and doors as needed.
  • Sweep and mop floors with disinfectant.
  • Perform periodic tasks such as cleaning overhead vents, dusting blinds, polishing wood furniture, and scrubbing, waxing, and polishing floors.
  • May use ladders, dust and wash walls, clean ceilings, and dust and polish light fixtures.
  • May remove stains from surfaces using chemicals and cleaning solutions.
  • May sweep walkways, rake leaves, cut grass, remove snow, or perform other incidental seasonal tasks.
Requirements
  • Clean driving record.
Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to perform the following repetitive movements: stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop; kneel; crouch or crawl; and talk or hear.

The employee may occasionally lift and/or move a minimum of 30 pounds of equipment and trash.

Ability to safely use equipment and tools.

Work Environment

Small to large office environment.

Fast-paced work environment.

Safety classes conducted by Flagship.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Exposed to a combination of normal office type environments and shop environments.

Regularly exposed to dust, odors, oil, fumes, cleaning products, and noise.

Safety glasses required while performing certain tasks.
