Job Description:

GLC On-The-Go is seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant to join our team for a travel assignment in a dynamic healthcare setting. As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the physical therapy team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist physical therapists in the delivery of patient care, including exercises, modalities, and other interventions.
  • Conduct patient assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions under the supervision of a physical therapist.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in patient education and discharge planning to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Contribute to a positive and supportive work environment by maintaining a safe and clean workspace, adhering to infection control protocols, and promoting a culture of respect and empathy.

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant Studies or related field.
  • Current licensure or certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the state of practice.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant in a healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies, with or without reasonable accommodation.
