We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Nurse to join our team at North Carolina Specialty Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized nursing care to surgical patients, demonstrating a comprehensive knowledge base to support a variety of single and multi-system illnesses and injuries.
- Develop and coordinate a safe plan of care, utilizing standards of practice and hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the patient and family to implement a developmentally and culturally appropriate plan of care.
- Participate in performance improvement activities, including data collection and analysis to identify quantifiable measures to maintain quality and promote desired outcomes.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; Associate's degree required; BSN preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse from the North Carolina State Board of Nursing or compact multi-state license.
- BLS from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) required upon hire.
- ACLS & PALS from American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC) preferred; must obtain both certifications within 6 months of hire if certification(s) is/are currently not active.
- CNOR Certification strongly preferred.
