About This Role

Crimson Phoenix is seeking a highly skilled Electromagnetic Security Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our cybersecurity team, you will be responsible for executing TEMPEST test methods and signal analysis in support of our mission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting up Equipment Under Test (EUT) enclosures in accordance with government specifications.
  • Recording all test results and concerns.
  • Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving Emanation Security (EMSEC) vulnerabilities.
  • Working with TEMPEST vendors to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Performing test set-up ambient measurements to ensure accurate results.
  • Capturing and analyzing qualification test data and results, and writing comprehensive reports.
  • Collaborating with project teams to evaluate products with respect to National Security Information Technology Standards and Specifications (NSITSSAM).
  • Verifying test requirements by the Cryptographic and TEMPEST Technical Assistance (CTTA) organization.
  • Attending TEMPEST testing with crypto device users, customers, and vendors to ensure seamless integration.
  • Providing testing of certified cryptographic equipment to identify vulnerabilities in secure systems.
  • Performing TEMPEST testing of Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) equipment to identify vulnerabilities for countermeasure purposes.
  • Validating the implementation of Information Assurance Support Environment (IASRD) across the Intelligence Community.

Requirements

  • MUST HAVE a current and active Top Secret Security Clearance with Polygraph, as the customer is not sponsoring clearances.
  • 3+ years of experience with TEMPEST testing, design, or engineering.
  • TEMPEST certified technician (Certified TEMPEST Professional Level II).
