Location: Classes are conducted in various educational institutions across Montgomery County. Instructors must be prepared to travel to multiple sites.

We focus on fun and interactive activities to inspire young learners while fostering character growth.

Role Overview: As a Martial Arts Educator at Amazing Athletes Karate Zoo, you will be instrumental in providing outstanding karate instruction to children aged 4-12 years. Your expertise in martial arts and ability to engage with young learners will help create a positive and dynamic educational experience. This is a part-time role, initially offering 8-10 hours per week. Training will occur during the final weeks of the spring season. Should the summer sessions be successful, there may be opportunities for increased hours.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Delivering engaging and age-appropriate karate lessons for children aged 4-12 years.
  • Providing clear and effective instruction on karate techniques and fundamentals.
  • Exhibiting a high-energy and enthusiastic teaching approach to motivate young participants.
  • Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during lessons.
  • Creating a supportive and inclusive environment for children to build confidence and discipline.
  • Implementing the curriculum provided by Amazing Athletes Karate Zoo.
  • Assessing and monitoring student progress, offering feedback to parents or guardians.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized set of provided equipment.
  • Demonstrating reliability and punctuality in all scheduled sessions.
Qualifications:
  • Responsible: Punctual for each session, capable of managing groups of 10 or more children, maintains accurate attendance records, and communicates effectively with management regarding scheduling.
  • Professional: Presents a neat appearance, interacts courteously with staff, parents, and children.
  • Enthusiastic: Enjoys engaging with young children and connects with them on their level, making classes enjoyable and memorable.
  • Karate Experience: Prior experience in karate is essential, preferably in a teaching capacity.
  • Transportation: Must possess reliable transportation.
  • Equipment: Access to a computer or smart device for attendance and scheduling is required.
