Survey Crew Chief

We are seeking an experienced Land Surveying Team Lead to join our team in Chattanooga, TN.

This is a full-time land surveying position that involves performing field and office duties, including boundary, topographic, ALTA/ASCM land title, construction staking, terrestrial LiDAR and UAV/drone surveys. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Survey Crew Chief and be able to obtain a Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license.

• Lead a team of field staff to achieve client and project objectives.
• Communicate effectively with clients and project teams to understand project requirements and goals.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of project progress.
• Operate advanced survey technology, including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, digital and differential levels, UAV, high-definition scanners, and data collection devices.
• Maintain land surveying equipment and vehicles in good working condition.

• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Survey Crew Chief.
• Ability to obtain a PLS license.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Competent operating total stations, GPS, and data collectors.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, Carlson, and Inroads software.
• Ability to interpret design and construction plans.
• Self-motivated, self-starter with ability to work in a team environment and independently.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to travel for up to a week at a time and work in all types of weather conditions.

The estimated salary for this position is $54,080 - $70,720 per year.
