Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Select Specialty Hospital - Pittsburgh UPMC. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Evaluate patient needs and develop effective treatment plans to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical and surgical conditions, including the insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
  • Promote continuous quality improvement and participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest respiratory care techniques and technologies.
  • Teach and counsel patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
Requirements
  • Active CRT or RRT credential from the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) or state equivalent.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
  • Current state licensure required.
  • ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of related experience.
