Position Summary:
The Welding Operations Expert is tasked with executing assigned welding projects, ensuring the production of high-quality products, adhering to company timelines, and maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Work Schedule:
This position typically follows a regular schedule from Monday to Thursday, 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a half-hour lunch break. Overtime may be required on Fridays and occasionally on Saturdays, generally consisting of shorter workdays.

Compensation:
The pay rate for this position is $24.10 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate welding machinery, including wire welders, for various steel thicknesses and types.
  • Utilize a range of tools and equipment such as L-tech welders, overhead hoists, grinders, buffers, and shot/sand blasters.
  • Interpret blueprints and execute welding tasks according to specifications.
  • Construct components in alignment with order requirements.
  • Ensure proper clamping of welded structures to prevent warping.
  • Operate handheld plasma torches, cutting torches, and stud & spot welders.
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools in optimal condition.
  • Accurately complete paperwork related to assignments.
  • Adhere to objectives outlined in the Safety Policy.
Qualifications

Knowledge: Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding techniques are preferred.

Skills: Attention to detail, ability to follow instructions, quality-oriented mindset, proficiency in operating hand tools, and basic reading and writing skills.

Abilities: Comprehensive understanding of welding fabrication processes, ability to follow work priorities, strong work ethic, self-motivation, and teamwork skills.

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required.
