Nurse Practitioner Per Diem Opportunity

The University of California, Irvine is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hospital Medicine & Palliative Medicine. As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive care to patients in the ambulatory or inpatient settings, working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities- Provide multi-disciplinary care coordination, treatment, education, monitoring, and communication with patients and referring physicians.
- Participate in the comprehensive care of patients, including routine care, acute or critical care, and medical and surgical procedures.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account the unique needs and circumstances of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve patient care and outcomes.
- Successful completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the program and UCI Health System.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate medical information to a broad variety of people.
- Ability to exercise diplomacy and flexibility in interacting with physicians, nurses, other paramedical personnel, administrators, emergency and law enforcement officers.
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
