Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment Maintenance Technician

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Duty Diesel Equipment Maintenance Technician to join our team at Republic Services. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks. With direct supervision from a Lead Technician or Maintenance Manager, you will have the opportunity to tackle new challenges every day, maintain and repair intricate machinery, receive training on new technologies, and enjoy competitive wages and benefits.
Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $65,000 per year (based on location and experience)

Job DescriptionThe Maintenance Technician B performs repair and maintenance work on diesel and non-diesel equipment and trucks, including chassis components, vehicle refuse bodies, control systems, hydraulic electrical, air brake systems, general engine work, HVAC components, suspension, drive train, and steering systems. You will also perform basic tire work, such as replacement, tire rotation, and tread depth checks.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Maintenance work experience on Classes 1-5 light/medium duty and heavy-duty Class 7-8 trucks, aircraft, or ships
- Basic understanding of work order labor time standards
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications (T1-T8) are a plus but not required
- Commercial Driver's License is a plus but not required
