Salary & Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $143,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience. Additionally, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, as well as 401(k) matching and generous paid time off.

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in Culver City, Los Angeles, as a Senior Software Engineer. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software components and applications that impact our customers and inspire your peers. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate with stakeholders to imagine, design, develop, test, and launch software that makes a significant difference.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Designing and developing software components and applications for one of the largest creators and providers of audiobooks in the world.
  2. Collaborating with stakeholders to envision, design, develop, test, and launch software that has a lasting impact on our customers and inspires your peers.
  3. Developing a broad range of data structures and algorithms, knowing when it is (and isn't) appropriate to use them.
  4. Independently clarifying technical requirements, assessing development estimates, and applying a broad range of design approaches.
  5. Reviewing code of other team members and providing constructive feedback.
  6. Mentoring and leading developers by cultivating curiosity and deep technical understanding.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, C#, or React, including object-oriented design.
  • 3+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems.
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Experience writing clear, maintainable, and extensible code.
