Job Summary

The Hospitalist Physician is responsible for providing clinical care to patients admitted at our affiliated hospitals in The Villages, FL. This includes assessing, evaluating, and managing patient conditions, as well as attending multi-disciplinary rounds and ordering diagnostic studies and laboratory tests.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform histories and physicals, conduct physical examinations, and diagnose and manage patient conditions
  • Attend multi-disciplinary rounds and collaborate with other healthcare professionals
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies and laboratory tests
  • Prescribe or recommend pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies
  • Consult with other physicians as needed and refer patients to appropriate sources of care

Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree in medicine (MD or DO)
  • Completion of advanced graduate medical education in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
  • Active FL medical license in good standing and DEA license eligible/active
