The Beverage Specialist is responsible for crafting high-quality drinks and providing exceptional service to guests, adhering to our standards of quality and hospitality. This role requires a friendly, attentive, and efficient individual who ensures a memorable experience for every patron.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Welcomes guests and processes orders in line with our service standards, which involves standing and moving behind the bar throughout the shift.
  • Delivers precise drink measurements consistently.
  • Engages with guests to create a welcoming atmosphere and foster relationships.
  • Adheres to opening and closing protocols.
  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the food and beverage offerings and can discuss them confidently.
  • Inputs orders into the point of sale system accurately.
  • Handles payments for services rendered, ensuring compliance with cash handling procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, which may involve physical activities such as lifting and cleaning.
  • Practices safe food and beverage handling as per local regulations, including proper care of glassware.
  • Verifies the age of guests to comply with legal drinking age requirements.
  • Ensures all beverages are cleared from service areas by the designated time.
  • Completes assigned side-work tasks efficiently.
  • Aims to achieve sales targets set by management.
Qualifications:
  • At least 6 months of experience in a high-volume, upscale dining environment; prior serving experience is advantageous.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Capability to lift and carry items weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Basic mathematical skills are required.
  • Must meet the legal age requirements for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Certification in responsible alcohol service is preferred.
  • High energy and stamina are essential for this fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to perform essential job functions and meet company standards with reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective communication skills in the primary language of the workplace (both verbal and written).
