About the Position

We are looking for a qualified individual to teach Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, General Chemistry 1 and 2, and advanced courses in Chemistry and Physics. The successful candidate will also advise undergraduate students and contribute to departmental service.

Responsibilities
  • Teach and develop curriculum for Organic Chemistry 1 and 2, General Chemistry 1 and 2, and advanced courses in Chemistry and Physics
  • Advise undergraduate students on academic matters and provide guidance on career development
  • Participate in departmental service, including textbook selection, course design, and committee work
Requirements
  • Doctor of Philosophy in Chemistry or Biochemistry is required
  • A proven track record of research involving undergraduate students
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with online learning platforms, including Banner, Canvas, and Blackboard
  • Proficiency in written and verbal communication
  • Familiarity with chemical laboratory safety issues
  • Ability to design novel teaching lab modalities and set up a research program

This is a full-time position, mainly located at the Brooklyn campus, with occasional teaching at other undergraduate campuses in New York.
