Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate RN to join our team as a Home Health PRN. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for supervising the care of residents assigned to your floor, following approved medical procedures, and ensuring the highest level of care.

Responsibilities
  • Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of policies and procedures, and ensure they are followed by nursing staff.
  • Participate in inspections, make recommendations, hold meetings with staff, and interpret policies to staff, residents, and visitors.
  • Develop work assignments, delegate to staff nurses, and make daily rounds, review complaints and grievances.
  • Review nurse's notes, make rounds, daily resident visits, and perform medication and treatment schedules.
  • Review MAR's and TAR's for completeness.
  • Consult with resident's physician and notify resident's attending physician and next-of-kin when there is a change in resident's condition.
  • Provide direct nursing care as necessary, including starting IVs, obtaining sputum, urine, and other lab tests, and authorizing the use of restraints in emergency situations.
Qualifications
  • Must be licensed Registered Nurse with a valid license for the State of Florida or show proof of an application for such.
  • Current valid CPR certification required.
  • Must have knowledge of all phases of nursing care to residents and previous experience in a convalescent home, skilled nursing facility, or general hospital with supervisory or charge nurse abilities.
  • Some experience in geriatrics is preferable.
