Job Summary:
Air Sea Packing Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver - Logistics Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for safely transporting and delivering fine furniture, artwork, and other high-end items to residential and commercial locations.
Responsibilities:
- Transportation: Safely operate trucks/oversized vehicles with a capacity of 3 tons or more, handling and delivering cargo, materials, furniture, or artwork in accordance with Health & Safety procedures.
- Logistics: Maintain/logs record of materials and products transported, create accurate and detailed condition reports, and use proper handling procedures to protect and secure cargo items for transport.
- Inventory Management: Work on an iPad, cataloging inventories and processing design furniture, and maintain knowledge of inventory control practices & procedures.
- Customer Service: Provide world-class service to our exclusive clientele, ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining a positive reputation for Air Sea Packing Group.
- Communication: Maintain radio or telephone contact with base supervisor to receive instructions or be dispatched to new locations, and record and maintain truck log according to state and federal regulations.
- Maintenance: Responsible for the pre-trip and post-trip inspection and reporting maintenance matters to management for remedy.
Requirements:
- Experience: At least 4 years of fine furniture handling and moving experience, with 1-2 years of professional experience driving a 16' – 24' box truck.
- Licenses and Certifications: Valid and clean driver's license, and compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of inventory control practices & procedures, excellent communication (verbal and written) and organization skills, extreme attention to detail, and punctuality.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, bend, stoop, climb, and pull, and perform strenuous physical labor on a regular basis.
