Position Summary:
The role of our drivers is essential to the recycling industry. They typically complete multiple routes daily, visiting client locations to collect recyclable materials for processing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate a truck to collect metal within a designated area.
- Wait for loading by either the company or the client and transport loads accordingly.
- Ensure loads are secured based on the type of vehicle used.
- Adhere to company safety protocols consistently, including the use of personal protective equipment and participation in monthly safety meetings.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to confirm that the vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Maintain communication with dispatch regarding delays, unsafe routes, accidents, or equipment malfunctions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Possession of a valid A CDL.
- Minimum of one year of prior commercial driving experience.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks is required.
- Must meet the Motor Vehicle Record safety standards.
