Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Montefino Ventilator Training. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall success of our organization.

Responsibilities
  • Direct Patient Care: Provide essential medical care to patients, including set-up and operation of devices such as mechanical ventilators, therapeutic gas administration apparatus, environmental control systems, and aerosol generators.
  • Emergency Response: Respond to emergency situations, including artificial respiration, external cardiac massage, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
  • Treatment Planning: Determine treatment requirements, including type, method, and duration of therapy, precautions to be taken, and medication dosages compatible with physicians' orders.
  • Patient Monitoring: Monitor patients' physiological responses to therapy, including vital signs, arterial blood gases, and blood chemistry changes, and consult with physicians if adverse reactions occur.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field preferred.
  • Certifications/Licenses: Current Respiratory License/Credentials from an accredited body (e.g., Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT), CA Respiratory Care Practitioner License (RCP)) required.
  • Experience: 1+ years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist or similar role desired but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Possess clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and ability to communicate effectively in English.
