Job Summary:
The Psych Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to a group of patients assigned based on matching the patients' needs with the nurse's competencies. The Psych RN completes established competencies for the position within a designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized patient care to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the needs of patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families to promote healthy behaviors and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse.
- Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification within 60 days of hire or transfer.
- BLS certification through an approved American Heart Association Training Center or the Military Training Network.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
- 2 years of experience in a psychiatric facility for Behavioral Health.
