Anderson Orthopaedic Clinic is seeking a skilled Physical Therapist to join our team in Forest Heights, MD.
Job Summary:We are looking for a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality patient care and rehabilitation services in our Physical Therapy Clinic. As a member of our team, you will have access to state-of-the-art therapy equipment and a collaborative environment that fosters optimal patient care and recovery.
Key Responsibilities:- Restore patient function, alleviate pain, and prevent disabilities by planning and administering medically prescribed physical therapy.
- Meet patient goals and needs by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results, determining physical therapy treatment plans in consultation with physicians or by prescription.
- Help patients accomplish treatment plans and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises, instructing, encouraging, and assisting patients in performing physical activities.
- Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs, instructing patients, families, and caregivers in home exercise programs, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment, and recommending outpatient or home health follow-up programs.
- Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records.
- Maintain patient confidence and protect practice operations by keeping information confidential.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and infection-control policies and protocols.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
- Develop physical therapy staff by providing information, developing and conducting in-service training programs.
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral degree in physical therapy as evidenced by a college diploma.
- Current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland.
