The ideal candidate will have a strong background in evaluating and monitoring patient progress, identifying subtle changes in medical conditions, and delivering timely updates to doctors, patients, and their family members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and monitor patient progress to identify potential issues and develop effective care plans.
- Deliver regular updates to doctors, patients, and their family members to ensure seamless communication.
- Begin treatment and monitor doses to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to medical emergencies and alert the appropriate doctors to ensure timely intervention.
- Care for patient needs throughout their recovery in the ICU unit, prioritizing their comfort and well-being.
- Complete all necessary paperwork before transferring a patient to ensure accurate records.
- Maintain patient records to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
- Create and implement effective care plans to ensure patient satisfaction and optimal outcomes.
Requirements:
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current RN license for the state where you are working (or willingness to obtain)
- 2 years of acute care experience in this specialty
- BLS & ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association
