Position: Telemetry Registered Nurse

Employment Type: PRN Tier I (Minimum 1 shift/pay period, 1 weekend shift/month, 1 holiday/year)

Role Overview:
As a Telemetry Registered Nurse, you will deliver direct patient care utilizing the nursing process in alignment with established standards and practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement care plans, including administering medications, collecting specimens, and providing clinical treatments.
  • Accurately document all patient care activities.
  • Continuously monitor, record, and communicate patient conditions to the care team, physicians, patients, and their families.
  • Assist patients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, nutrition, and mobility.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure comprehensive patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and addressing spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Act as an advocate for the physical and emotional health of patients.

Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited Professional Nursing Program required; RN Applicant status permissible per Virginia Department of Health guidelines.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently are essential.
  • Flexibility in scheduling is required, including the ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays to maintain patient care continuity.
  • Telemetry: New Graduate RN must obtain ACLS certification within one year of hire.
