Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabrication Specialist to join our dynamic team at ABR Employment Services. As a key member of our metal fabrication team, you will play a crucial role in crafting high-quality steel structures for industries worldwide.

Compensation Package

The successful candidate will receive a competitive salary of $23.00/hour, with opportunities for growth and advancement within our supportive indoor shop environment.

About the Job

This full-time position requires strong MIG welding skills, as well as the ability to read blueprints and machine drawings to determine specific welding requirements. You will be responsible for performing MIG welding with Metal-cored wires & flux-cored wires to assemble large steel pieces together, using disc grinders to smooth out parts, and daily operating overhead cranes and jib cranes to place components in position for welding.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Technical diploma in welding is desired
  • Understanding of pre-heat and post-heat weldments preferred
  • Ability to read Blueprints and drawings is a plus
  • Ability to use a tape measurer and convert measurements into decimals
  • Following verbal and written work instructions
  • Regular attendance required
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
