We are seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Clinical Lecturer and General Chemistry Coordinator at Iona University.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for teaching general chemistry courses, coordinating content and instructors, and developing curriculum for general chemistry lecture and lab. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to teach other courses that match their interests and skills, as well as provide service to the department and academic community.
Responsibilities- Teaching: Teach general chemistry courses for majors and non-majors, including lecture and lab sections.
- Curriculum Development: Develop and coordinate curriculum for general chemistry lecture and lab, ensuring alignment with departmental goals and standards.
- Departmental Service: Provide service to the department and academic community, including participating in departmental meetings and contributing to departmental initiatives.
- Other Responsibilities: Teach other courses that match the candidate's interests and skills, as needed, and participate in departmental and university-wide committees and initiatives.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field, at least 2 semesters of experience teaching undergraduate chemistry courses, excellent organizational skills, and a demonstrated commitment to teaching improvement and excellence.
