Job Summary

UCHealth (Colorado) is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team at the Anschutz Inpatient Pavilion in Aurora, CO. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with respiratory disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and assess response to ordered therapy per plan of care.
  • Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
  • Evaluate respiratory care policies and procedures based on patient outcomes, current research, and best practices.
  • Respond to codes and calls for emergent assistance.
  • Assess patient condition and deliver appropriate treatment utilizing appropriate protocols.
  • Educate the patient and family about the patient's illness and provide information about community resources.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
  • Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
  • State licensure.
  • NRP obtained within 1 year if assigned to NICU; tracked on unit.
  • PALS within 1 year if assigned to ED; tracked on unit.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date.
