Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate the daily operations of the facility, including assigning manpower and monitoring efficiency.
  • Work with multiple departments to ensure that operations standards and goals are achieved.
  • Monitor throughput yields and make adjustments as necessary to maintain delivery schedules.
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures to achieve business unit strategic operating goals.
  • Assist in performing capacity planning for equipment, floor space, and manpower requirements.
  • Responsible for independent problem-solving and communicating with team members to achieve goals.
  • Build and develop team approaches to problem-solving and continuous improvement concepts.
  • Produce and maintain measures of performance to display performance-related strengths and weaknesses.
  • Perform administrative activities necessary for effective cell management, including employee selection, pay administration, and employee relations.
  • May participate in business unit management teams to develop and realize strategic plans, budgets, and goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong planning, organizational, analytical, leadership, interpersonal, decision-making, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Project management skills and working knowledge of PC's in the current company operating system environment.
  • Working knowledge of production management computer systems and company instructions, processes, administrative policies, and procedures.
  • Strong logistics and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to read and understand a Router that details tasks to be completed on each part.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • Working knowledge of standard inspection processes as related to the aviation industry.
  • Product knowledge of respective business segment.
  • Supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
