Job Summary

The Terrebonne Parish School District is seeking a skilled HVAC Technician to join our team. As an HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, including diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and refrigerant gas circuitry malfunctions.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain gas-fired and electrical strip heaters, as well as other HVAC equipment.
  • Refrigeration Certification: Possess and maintain refrigeration certification, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record, enabling you to travel to various school locations.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)
  • Experience: Two years of technical experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, from which comparable skills and abilities can be acquired.
