Job Summary:

Paragon Wholesale Foods Corp is seeking a skilled Sanitation Worker to join our team. As a Sanitation Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment in our warehouse and production areas. This includes cleaning and sanitizing machinery, floors, and work areas, as well as maintaining the overall cleanliness of the facility.

Responsibilities:

Clean and sanitize different types of machinery and support equipment
Clean and sanitize floors, walls, and specific work areas
Perform general warehouse maintenance duties, including sweeping, mopping, and cleaning
Prioritize work orders based on departmental needs
Maintain sanitary conditions in the facility, including collection and disposal of trash and debris
Report any unfixable or unsafe issues to the supervisor

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
One year of on-the-job sanitation/maintenance experience required
Understanding of general building sanitation/maintenance
Ability to operate a pallet jack
Must be 18 years of age
Must work independently with minimal supervision and have strong attention to detail

Work Environment:

This is a full-time position with a varying schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The job is primarily performed in a warehouse environment with exposure to fast-moving material handling equipment and other mechanical equipment. Regularly exposed to freezer/cooler warehouse environments and occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high places, vehicle emissions, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, and high voltage electrical equipment and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
