About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Medical Professional to join our team as a Disability Assessment Specialist. In this role, you will work directly with United States Veterans, performing medical assessments and evaluations to determine their eligibility for disability benefits.

Job Description

As a Disability Assessment Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing medical records electronically through a secure web portal and conducting in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document your findings using the VA's required format, providing a comprehensive evaluation of the Veteran's condition.

This is an in-person position that requires a high level of professionalism and attention to detail. You will work independently, but as part of a larger team dedicated to supporting our nation's heroes.

Key Attributes and Responsibilities
  • Perform independent medical assessments and evaluations on United States Veterans
  • Review medical records and conduct in-person physical exams
  • Document findings using the VA's required format
  • Meet productivity requirements, completing 3-5 patient evaluations per day
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license
  • Proficient computer skills and experience using electronic medical records systems
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team
