Plastics Fabricator Swing Shift

Job SummaryUnder general supervision, the Plastics Fabricator will fabricate complex plastic products and assemblies using advanced production techniques. This role requires a strong understanding of plastic welding and fabrication, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities- Fabricate and assemble complex plastic products using techniques such as welding, cutting, forming, bending, and shaping to meet precise design specifications.
- Use power tools, hand tools, hand welders, and precision equipment to construct plastic products.
- Read work orders and interpret drawings/prints to plan and carry out precise design specifications for each product.
- Work with area leads to refine fabrication techniques and improve manufacturing repeatability.
- Establish priorities and notify leads of any shortages or problems that might affect the schedule.
- Minimum 2 years of continuous experience in plastics welding and fabrication using industry standards, demonstrating consistency in weld quality (strength & cosmetic).
- Welding experience preferred.
- Experience welding a variety of plastics, such as PVC, 4910, and CP7D.
- Demonstrated proficiency using calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and height/depth gauges.
- Demonstrated experience reading and understanding blueprints and instructions, as well as geometric tolerances.
- Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, area leads, and management.
- Self-motivation and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Problem-solving skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
This role requires working in a temperature-controlled production environment, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. Personal protective equipment (safety glasses, ear protection) may be required. May operate moving equipment (forklift) as needed to perform essential job functions.
