We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Laboratory Service Engineer to join our team at Lam Research. As a key member of our Metrology Core group, you will play a critical role in maintaining and modifying equipment in our applications lab.
Key Responsibilities- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting, upgrades, and calibrations on equipment in a fast-paced R&D environment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electromechanical, electronic, and vacuum equipment, ensuring safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support R&D activities, customer demos, and equipment installation.
- Develop and maintain procedures and documentation for prototype equipment.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and tasks.
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 5+ years of experience, or Associates degree with 7+ years of relevant experience, or 9+ years of relevant industry experience.
- SEM/FIB operational skills and experience with Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) equipment.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience maintaining semiconductor equipment, preferably metrology equipment.
- Experience operating or maintaining Hitachi, Thermo Fisher, and Zeiss SEM/STEM equipment.
