HSE Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Safety and Environmental Specialist to join our Production and Facilities function at S&C Electric Company. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations and supporting our diverse team.

• You will be responsible for providing safety and environmental guidance and support for HSE programs, which include but not limited to: Behavior Based Safety (BBS) programs, Location Emergency Response Plan (LERP), Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space, Ergonomics, Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIV), industrial air and noise monitoring, sustainability and waste management compliance, Department of Transportation (DOT), as well as other applicable OSHA compliance to reduce workplace injury.
• You will refine existing programs and procedures to improve effectiveness and efficiency or eliminate their need. Reviews and updates safety policies and procedures on a routine and as needed basis to assure compliance with applicable required federal, state, and local regulations and corporate standards.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and/or Environmental, Mechanical/Industrial/Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science, or equivalent experience.

Demonstrated sustained high-level performance in safety and environmental functions with strong oral and written communication skills is also required.
