About the Role:
As a Charge Nurse II - Acute Care at LifeBridge Health, you will have the opportunity to take on a leadership role in our Acute Care Unit. This position requires a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead a team of healthcare professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide safe, age-appropriate patient care and serve as a resource and leader for other members of the patient care team.
- Assist in providing overall direction and coordination of unit operations, including mentoring and role-modeling best practices and policies.
- Collaborate with the Education Resource Center to identify unit-based educational opportunities and facilitate educational and competency validation activities.
- Monitor compliance to standards by evaluating the delivery of care through patient rounds, chart reviews, direct observation, and review of outcome indicators.
- Participate in performance appraisals and evaluate staff using reliable and objective criteria.
- Respond to and direct emergencies, serving as a leader and resource person during crisis situations.
Requirements:
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years of college) with knowledge of a specialized field.
- 1-3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification and Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- ACLS certification for application to telemetry.
