Apple Acres Farmworker

Job Summary: Apple Acres is seeking a skilled farmworker to join our team for the upcoming harvest season. As a farmworker, you will be responsible for manually planting, cultivating, and harvesting apples. This is a full-time, seasonal position that requires a minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience in performing tasks described in this order.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manually plant, cultivate, and harvest apples using hand tools such as shovels, trowels, hoes, tampers, pruning hooks, shears, and knives.
• Apply fertilizers, transplant, weed, thin, or prune crops as needed.
• Use pesticides and cleaning equipment to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
• Repair fences and farm buildings, or participate in irrigation activities.
• Set up and operate irrigation equipment to ensure optimal crop growth.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3 months of verifiable experience in performing tasks described in this order.
• Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
• Exposure to extreme temperatures, repetitive movements, extensive pushing/pulling, frequent stooping/bending, and extensive walking.
• Ability to comprehend simple instructions in English.
