Job Title: Schools - Visually Impaired Teacher

ProCare Therapy is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to provide virtual instruction and support to visually impaired students in California.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and compassionate teacher to join our team as a Virtual Teacher for Visually Impaired Students. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in special education, experience working with students who are visually impaired, and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide virtual instruction and support to visually impaired students in a school setting, focusing on the needs of students in California.
  • Develop and implement individualized educational plans and accommodations to meet students' needs.
  • Adapt curriculum materials and teaching methods to support students' learning goals.
  • Collaborate with school staff, parents, and other professionals to ensure students' success.
  • Conduct virtual assessments and evaluations to monitor students' progress.
  • Provide training and support to students, teachers, and caregivers on strategies for supporting students with visual impairments.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education or Special Education with a focus on visual impairments.
  • Certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired, with eligibility to work in California.
  • Experience working with students who are visually impaired in a school setting.
  • Knowledge of assistive technology and resources for students with visual impairments.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Reliable internet connection and technology for virtual instruction.
