St Luke Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Professional to join our team. As an integral part of our finance department, this role will be responsible for performing various accounting tasks, including journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Statement Preparation: Close month-end with accurate and timely journal entries, financial statements, and reconciliations.
- Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and fixed assets on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Accounts Payable Support: Assist the Accounts Payable Clerk as needed with various tasks and responsibilities.
- Annual Reporting: Assist the Business Office Manager with annual cost report preparation and audit activities.
- Tax Compliance: Complete quarterly sales tax filings and ensure compliance with all tax regulations.
- Collection and Union Reporting: Work with the collection attorney as needed and complete union dues and pension reports on a monthly basis.
- General Clerical Duties: Perform various general clerical tasks, including mail distribution and other routine functions.
- Petty Cash Management: Track and reconcile petty cash transactions.
Requirements:
- Education: Associate's degree in business or accounting.
- Experience: Three to five years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports, knowledge of MS Office, and understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
