Occupational Therapist Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Avamere Living, providing high-quality patient care in our Skilled Nursing and Post-Acute Care settings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide occupational therapy services to patients, including evaluation, treatment, and goal setting.
  • Direct and supervise the work of assistants, rehab aides, and students as applicable.
  • Follow organizational and facility safety procedures to ensure patient and staff safety.
  • Participate in department operations and development, and communicate patient status and needs to patients, families, and caregivers.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an approved curriculum in Occupational Therapy.
  • Able to practice unencumbered and in good standing with regulatory agencies and licensing boards.
  • Working knowledge of Medicare and other payer sources, and full knowledge of resident's rights.
  • Exudes professionalism in presentation and ability to multitask.
  • CPR certification and ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English.
