Job OverviewPOSITION SUMMARY:
Foster a welcoming, professional, and positive environment by delivering exceptional customer service and embodying the core values of our organization. Warmly welcome members and visitors as they enter the facility. Provide friendly and efficient assistance while managing member inquiries, answering phone calls, and performing various administrative tasks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome and assist all members, prospective members, and staff in a polite, professional, and friendly manner. Show enthusiasm towards members by learning their names and expressing genuine interest in their activities. Aim to enhance their experience by introducing them to new programs, staff, fellow members, and volunteer opportunities.
- Answer incoming calls, provide requested information, route calls appropriately, and take accurate messages.
- Conduct membership interviews and facility tours as necessary, articulating the organization's mission, volunteer opportunities, and assistance programs.
- Encourage potential members to enroll and follow up with those who have not yet signed up.
- Deliver accurate and courteous information regarding membership requirements and services.
- Assist current and prospective members with their individual membership inquiries.
- Address members' needs promptly. Engage the appropriate personnel when necessary. Handle complaints with courtesy and professionalism. Effectively negotiate and resolve customer service issues. Utilize appropriate forms to communicate concerns or commendations.
- Manage court reservations and provide rental equipment as needed.
- Process new member identification cards, issue guest passes, and register members for programs and services as required.
- Adhere to established procedures for group memberships, AWAY members, and guests utilizing the facility. Follow identification protocols and guest guidelines.
- Handle inquiries from potential new members using best practices.
- Maintain a consistent professional appearance through appropriate attire and identification, and engage positively with others. Speak enthusiastically on behalf of the organization when opportunities arise.
- Support other staff members as needed and undertake additional duties as assigned.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of the organization's mission, goals, objectives, and programs to effectively communicate this information to members.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven skills in customer service, public relations, organizational abilities, communication, and computer proficiency.
- Exhibited professionalism in both demeanor and appearance.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with organizational policies and procedures.
