Position Overview
The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role within the Nursing Department, ensuring high-quality care for patients. This position involves the responsibility and accountability for delivering comprehensive nursing services.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage patient care through the application of the nursing process, utilizing independent judgment and effective communication with all team members.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans based on individual patient needs, ensuring collaboration with the care delivery team.
- Delegate and supervise patient care activities, monitoring the progress and response to treatment.
- Prepare patients for discharge, ensuring a smooth transition and continuity of care.
Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Completion of accredited nursing school coursework, with a preference for candidates with medical/surgical experience.
- Current certifications in ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and CPR (AHA Healthcare Provider) are mandatory.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure is required.
- Knowledge of NIHSS (National Stroke Scale) is advantageous.
