Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Product Engineer to join our team at DSJ Global. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for researching and developing new products for our remanufacturing processes. This role involves frequent collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and support teams to ensure successful new product launches and expand our program offerings.Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement new product designs, ensuring they meet customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate product failure modes, improving product durability and reducing costs.
  • Work with supplier quality teams to certify new suppliers' processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
  • Participate in supplier development activities, driving innovation and cost reduction.
  • Develop and implement processes for internal training and system adaptation to customer needs, including BOM updates and change orders.
  • Present progress updates to stakeholders through clear and concise presentations.
  • Ensure all activities are carried out with a strong focus on safety and process improvement.

  • Self-motivated with a high sense of urgency; able to manage complex engineering tasks in a team-oriented environment.

Accountability

The Product Engineer is accountable for the successful development and introduction of new products for remanufacturing, driving growth and future program potential.

Key Qualifications
  • Proven experience bringing new products to market through customer collaboration.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of the organization.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry, particularly in powertrain systems.
  • Experience with powertrain and drivetrain systems; engine experience is preferred.
  • Strong commitment to building and nurturing customer relationships.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, or a related field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in new product integration.
  • In-depth knowledge of automatic transmissions and internal combustion engines.
  • High analytical skills to solve complex and unusual problems.
  • Proven experience in project management, with the ability to prioritize tasks and estimate project timelines and costs.
