Job Summary

Aerotek is seeking a skilled Saw Operator to join our team in Reading, PA. As a Saw Operator, you will be responsible for operating a saw to accurately produce parts within tolerances, following all safety procedures and working in a safe manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate a saw to produce parts with high precision and accuracy
  • Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment
  • Read and follow work order instructions to ensure accurate production
  • Set up and maintain saw equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform basic math functions to calculate measurements and tolerances
  • Work independently with minimal supervision to meet production goals
  • Keep work area clean and organized to ensure efficient production
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Ability to read a tape measure with an accuracy of 1/32"
  • Ability to read a vernier with an accuracy of 0.005" (caliper)
  • Basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division) and ability to convert fractions to decimals
  • Fork truck training and ability to operate a forklift
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
