We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Contraceptive Technology team as Deputy Director, Contraceptive Research and Development. In this role, you will develop strategies to advance our Contraceptive Technology initiative within our Women's Health Innovations division and oversee grant approvals. Your expertise in research and development, preferably in a women's health field or relevant life science, will be crucial in driving our progress. We offer a competitive salary range of $322,000 to $499,100 USD per year, depending on location and experience.
Your Responsibilities
As Deputy Director, Contraceptive Research and Development, your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading the Contraceptive Technology team and developing strategies to advance WHI's Contraceptive Technology goals.
- Managing direct reports and matrix partners, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Collaborating with colleagues to provide written analyses and recommendations for funding grant proposals.
- Representing our organization with external constituencies and partner organizations, promoting our mission and values.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will require a strong background in research and development, preferably in a women's health field or relevant life science. Experience in leading teams in early and late-phase clinical development, medical affairs, or regulatory with significant interactions with clinical development in a women's health indication is preferred. Strong knowledge of biopharmaceutical industry and end-to-end drug/device development, manufacturing, and launch, including discovery, development, commercial launch, is necessary. Analytical skills to interpret clinical and preclinical data, problem-solving using data-driven methods, and portfolio management experience are also essential.
