We are seeking a qualified academic sociologist to join our team at UC San Diego. The successful candidate will have a strong background in sociology and teaching experience.
About the Position:This is a temporary non-tenure track lecturer position that involves teaching large introductory courses in sociology, as well as upper and lower division courses related to the applicant's research interests.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Sociology or a related field, with relevant teaching experience.
The salary for this position is estimated to be between $66,259 and $76,814 per year.
Responsibilities:- Teach students effectively and maintain an active interest in current thinking in the subject area
- Advise students on academic matters
- Instruct classes according to course objectives and schedules
The basic qualifications for this position include a Master's degree or ABD in Sociology or a related discipline, with two years of relevant experience. Preferred qualifications include a Ph.D. in Sociology, with teaching experience.
