Care Alliance Health Center is seeking a highly skilled Physician to join our team as a Primary Care Specialist. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive, coordinated primary and preventive health care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide Comprehensive Primary Care: Deliver high-quality, patient-centered care to adults, including children and special populations such as HIV, depending on qualifications.
- Serve as Preceptor: Mentor residents, medical students, and advance practice nursing students in a clinical setting.
- Attend Provider Meetings: Participate in monthly meetings with healthcare providers to discuss patient care and share best practices.
- Stay Current with Standards of Practice: Remain up-to-date with the latest medical research, guidelines, and standards of care.
- Perform Other Duties: Assist with special projects and tasks assigned by the Medical Director.
- HIV Counseling and Testing: Provide HIV testing and counseling services to patients.
- Disease Monitoring and Treatment: Monitor disease progression and provide treatment for HIV and related infections.
- Case Management: Assist patients in accessing other Federal, State, and local programs that provide health and support services.
- Board Certification: Be board certified in family practice or internal medicine.
- Ohio Medical License: Hold a current Ohio license to practice medicine.
- DEA Certificate: Possess a valid DEA certificate.
- Care Alliance Credentialing: Successfully complete the Care Alliance credentialing process.
- Experience in Certified Field: Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a certified field.
- Medically Underserved Populations: Have experience working with medically underserved populations.
- Public Health Issues: Have experience with applicable public health issues.
- EPIC System: Have a basic understanding of the EPIC system.
- Microsoft Office: Have basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Manual Dexterity: Possess manual dexterity to operate medical equipment.
- Physical Demands: Be able to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
- Force Requirements: Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally to handle medical equipment.
- Visual Abilities: Have specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Hazardous Conditions: May be exposed to hazardous conditions.
