Job Summary

As a Physician at Next Level Urgent Care LLC, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced urgent care setting. You will work independently and collaboratively with other medical professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide primary and episodic care to patients, following established protocols and guidelines.
  • Function as a leading member of the clinical team, maintaining patient flow and maximizing quality care and customer service.
  • Emphasize health promotion and disease prevention through patient education and coordination of care.
  • Follow regulations and guidelines for writing prescriptions.
Accountabilities:
  • Ensure efficient and smooth patient visit experiences.
  • Follow company patient-care protocols.
  • Perform complete physical exams and assessments of patients, including urgent, emergent, and non-urgent presentations.
  • Select, order, and perform tests and procedures to augment physical findings.
  • Define and document differential diagnoses, including the most likely diagnosis.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as deemed necessary and appropriate for the plan of care.
  • Interpret data and diagnostic results for appropriate course of action, including laboratory, radiology, EKG, etc.
  • Perform duties in accordance with the customary rules of ethics and conduct of the Texas Medical Board.
  • Prescribe medication doses appropriate for each patient and explain correct uses.
  • Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
  • Exercise tact and diplomacy in dealing with sensitive, complex, and confidential patient issues and situations.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
  • Learns computer software programs; enters and maintains accurate data and statistical information to prepare clear and concise reports.
  • Supervises nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine (MD or DO)
  • Graduate of an accredited medical school
  • Valid Texas Medical License
  • Outstanding knowledge of medications, side effects, and contraindications
  • Outstanding patient management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Clinical experience in an emergency, urgent care, or ambulatory clinic setting preferred
  • BLS certified
  • Unrestricted DEA license
  • Board Certified
  • DOT certified within 2 months of hire
Environmental and Physical Requirements:
  • Candidate must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently, have cognitive skills for math, reading, filing, and sterile technique skills.
  • Communication skills to deal well with employees, patients, and families.
  • Vision for near, mid-range, far, and accommodation.
  • Hearing for low, medium, and high pitch.
  • Job requires physical ability for long-term standing, occasional sitting, crouching, kneeling, frequent walking, reaching above head and below waist.
  • Job risks include exposure to blood and body fluids (high), contact with chemicals, lifting of 30-40 pounds, and exposure to infectious disease.
